Genuinely feeling terrible. Sinus headache resonating in my ear. I'm not sure, it could be a migraine coming on, either, but was in bed with it yesterday since it was making me feel dizzy. Sick of it tbh, have been in and out of the ENT for a year and a half now, and no further on to figuring out my chronic sinus pain.
Yours sounds worse than mine but I resemble this post. I think my sinuses trigger a migraine sometimes - I was destroyed last Wednesday.

Obviously your ent specialist have ruled this out, but I thought I had really bad hayfever that completely blocked my sinuses for about, oh, 10 years? sniffling, mouth breathing, snoring, no proper sense of smell, all that good stuff. Various antihistamine sprays and stuff from the local GPs didn’t help. One day about two years ago I realised that I shouldn’t have hay fever symptoms in the middle of winter, then I happened to read something online and went back to the GP and said “here, I think I’ve got nasal polyps so would you mind taking a look up there”, he took a look and said “oh yes, so you do. Here’s a referral letter for a consultant. That’ll be €55, please. Oh and I’ll add you to my patient self-diagnosis survey results.”

anyway I had surgery and it turns out I don’t have hay fever at all and I can breathe through my nose and smell things now and I don’t snore any more.

So yeah - nasal polyps are sneaky bastards.

FUCKING hell, 10 years of suffering for polyps? That's disgraceful, but glad you got to the bottom of it.

So my sinus infections are asymptomatic, I never (or at least rarely) get any congestion, which has led my ENT to believe its sinus triggered migraines. I also have a deviated septum which I'm told shouldn't really be impacting me, but who knows.

My doc said that about 80% of his patients thing they have sinus issues and hve migraines instead. I'm currently on a waiting list for the hermitage who have a specialist there, so we'll see. Have a feeling its the dampness that has me feeling so shite.

Huh,
Both my dad and I have various sinus troubles over the last few years.
And he currently cannot taste a thing and his doc is making do allergy tests and eh he’s seemingly not allergic to anything so eh yeah, nasal polyps hmm

Apparently I had a really bad case - I could look up my nose and see them, but they were all over my sinuses. Getting the surgery was the best thing ever. I thought it'd take a while for me to heal up and notice any difference, but literally the next morning when i woke up they pulled out the "packing material" (now THAT was a weird sensation) and just like that, my nose was working again. Plenty of bleeding, and it was sore, but I could breathe through it. A couple of days later I was out walking and got a whiff of the back of a bin truck and I've never been so happy to be so grossed out.

I went back about two weeks later for a follow up appointment. I was delighted with the difference the surgery had made, but the doc wasn't quite finished yet - he sprayed an anaesthetic up my nose and went rooting around my sinsues with an extremely long forceps and started pulling these massive lumps of blood and snot and gunk out and showing them to the nurse and going "look at the size of that!", and the sensation of breathing through what were now completely unobstructed nasal passages was WONDERFUL.

My only regret is I would have loved to have gotten video of the surgery or the lumps getting pulled out at the follow up appointment. Something to show the kids.

Wow that sounds amazing even despite the rooting around part.

I was finding it hard to inhale through my nose when trying to go asleep. So I started using a Sudafed nasal spray. Did the trick for a few hours but I was afraid over use would melt my septum eventually because I was way over using it.
I’ve a follow up appointment about an ear thing in a few months so might get him to take a gander up my honker. And say it to the aulfellah aswell. Thanks Pete

I don’t like to complain, but the candy wall in work has a Kit-Kat bin that has very nice Kit-Kats in it

But the white Kit-Kats (nom) are almost indistinguishable from the regular type
And I end up with not enough whites.

Don’t put white wrappers on regular chocolate, Kit-Kat!

Look at this chocolatey misdirection!

Borrowed my girlfriends sisters car for a few days. Some gouger broke into it last night.

A guy in work insisted I take his car out for a spin – it was a Saab cabriolet, and I love Saabs
Took it into town for a chore and dropped it back. Told him his oil light was on, he said that hadn’t happened before..
When he was driving home that night – the fucking engine seized – and he lives two states away.
Car was junk.
Like technically not my fault – but also I’m involved. He absolved me, but if I was him, I'd be cursing me.

Also, I am banned for life from renting from the UHaul corporation of North America.

Don’t loan me your car.
