1. MASAKARI – “the prophet feeds” – LP out now !!!
(in coop. w/ Halo of Flies, Alerta Antifascista, Scarescrow – May 2010 – 1500 copies (300 on red vinyl) – CD-Version by Southern Lord)
“The Prophet Feeds”is the debut album from Midwest bashers Masakari. This band is amazing and this first full-legnth of theirs is relentless, unhinged, chaotic crust! Somewhat in the vein of His Hero is Gone, Tragedy and From Ashes Rise, but with a very distinct and brutal edge, Masakari fuses their apocalyptic crust with the raging power of Discharge/Disfear D-beat and the hard-edged Japanese punk stylings of G.I.S.M., with a smattering of blast-beat driven grindcore to drive it all home. The “Prophet Feeds” was engineered by Bill Korecky (Incantation, Keelhaul, Integrity) and recorded at Mars Studio in Cleveland. The LP comes in a gatefold-cover on heavy 180g Vinyl. 300 records on red / 1200 records on black vinyl. For the CD-Version contact SOUTHERN LORD.

(In coop. w/ Halo of Flies, Rinderherz Rec)
The songs are recorded and getting mixed at the moment. I’m hoping to be able to send the stuff to get pressed in the next week, so it should be out in June. After their split with ALPINIST, this is their first “own” record and in my opinion it’s much better than the old recordings. Expect 35 minutes of dark HC / Punk sorrounded by awesome melodies and brutal female vocals...
Finisterre will go on tour in the US and Mexico and July / August, so make sure to go and see them.
