aye, not as good as whelans a few years back. but good none the less. said 'thank you' a bit. band was great though, alas no mike johnston. played for ages.

Missed this because of onset of killer flu (I think), sounds like I shouldn't be too disappointed. Big crowd?

Yep. Big crowd. The band was much louder than the last time. They reminded me ALOT of the screaming trees, loads of wahwah guitar freakouts and droning wall of guitar noise. His voice is savage!

you could hear his voice, but the bass was so booming, forget about hearing lyrics...
some of the long instumental freakouts were indeed amazing...

New album out today. He's been prolific enough the past few years but not to the detriment of the quality of his output.

Liking the new one so far, though it's not exactly a departure from his last 2 (proper) albums.
