A major pleasure for me was deciding to never go to another wedding. 20 odd years and I've kept to it. It's great.
A mate of mine declared the same last year and I've since been talking to a couple of people who have such a policy. I wish I could do the same myself. All our holidays the last 3 years have centred around weddings. But it's hard to say no. If it's important to your mates it's tough to just dismiss that, even if you're not big on marriage/weddings yourself.

I hadn't gone to a wedding in nearly a decade until last month when I attending a day 2 of my girlfriend's mates for a few hours.

The only weddings I will go to are direct family. I have absolutely no interest in weddings aside from that, load of bollocks.
