A Luas tram has collided with a bus at the junction of Abbey Street and O’Connell Street in Dublin City centre.
Several people are understood to have been injured in the incident which took place some time before 3pm.
The double-decker Dublin Bus was coming from O’Connell Street bridge when it collided with tram at the corner of Abbey Street.
The Luas, which moving in the direction of Lower Abbey Street, was derailed in the crash.
People are being escorted off both vehicles and emergency services are in attendance.
There is an unconfirmed report that the Luas driver went through the window of his cabin and into the bus. He had to be cut out of the wreckage by members of the Dublin Fire Brigade.
Jaysus. Really hope no-one is injured.
Reminds me of that horrible incident on the keys back in 2004 with the 66 bus. Still gets under my skin that one.

any idea who was at fault?I was ONE SECOND in front of the bus on my bike. Still shaken. Massive explosion sound.
Jaysus, looks bad, the poor driver, hope he'll be okay. They're testing trams down in the IFSC, so wonder if that caused a signal issue or something.I went through a green light so I reckon the luas driver was at fault or it was signal failure.
