hello,

another potentially stupid question.

does anyone know if there's a loop station there with a programmable click? ie one you can set to quantize to a specific bpm?

and also is there a way i could possibly sync a loop station with a backing track? abelton or something like that? i know nowt about ableton by the way

well that took approx 3 nano seconds of searching online to find an answer - rc50 apparently can do this

but what programme/set up would i use to sync it up with?

edit- reading on forums about peopel having issues syncing rc50. but they're full of jargon, haven't a clue what they're on about.

i use ableton live and this behringer pedal to do that.

its pretty handy to set up and works fine if you have a half decent laptop and soundcard.

i set up about 10 tracks in ableton. 5 of them have loops and samples and 5 of them are empty to record loops into. makes it easy to play with a drummer too cos i can send a click to headphones from ableton

That's class. Thanks for the info. Already have Ableton but haven't touched it yet. Also that pedal is a lot cheaper than a Boss RC50...

cool. just in case (to point out the obvious) the pedal just sends midi, doesn't actually do anything on its own, but you can set it to control anything in ableton.

i do this with a gibson echoplex and whateever that sends midi clock..(mpc hopefully this week!), laptop, sequencer..
