This is great too. I'm looking at proper chords and scales as well, but the quick fix of learning a song from shapes following someone else is very satisfying.

Got this down after a couple of weeks playing here and there. Which is pretty much the only piano I have wanted to learn since 2000.

You started from nothing to playing that?

What kind of keyboard are you using?

Yeah, just from copying the video. I have no idea what the chords are, and figuring out the notes would take me a minute. Very similar to my guitar knowledge.

I'm learning simple chords and the C scale on the side. But learning songs straight from copying these youtubers is good good fun. Currently learning Pyramid Song, which is a bit more awkward.

Imagine trying to learn this stuff from a book. Impossible. I was talking to my piano playing mate the other week and he was saying to know your fingers by numbers and think of those while playing, but I'm not doing that yet anyway.

I bought this and would recommend it to everyone. Should have started years ago. Imagine playing Codex there on the piano. That's how you would have gotten girls, not by playing shite guitar.

This keyboard has 60 odd keys, so hasn't enough bass keys for all of Let It Be, which have been learning for the last few weeks. To get around this I had just been using a simple one key patter for the bass lines.

Found out last night you can drop the octave of the keyboard. Have to learn this all over again now.
