Late 80's/Early 90s dance music nostalgia thread (1 Viewer)

It's pissing me off that I feel like I should justify it. I think Ride On Time is a really great tune, mostly cause of the Lolletta Holloway vocal sample, I think her voice is stunning and the tune itself is decent Italo house. It's probably pretty cheesey but I have such a soft spot for vocal house, I hardly noticed.

When I mentioned You Got The Love, I specified the version that samples Your Love. Your Love is amongst my favourite house tunes and I think it works really well with Candi Staton's vocals, which are great. None of the other versions of that track that I've heard have done Candi's vocals any justice.

I'd agree with both of those choices too - great tunes.
I'd throw is stuff like Gwen Guthrie - 'Ain't Nothing Going On But The Rent', a couple of Technotronic tracks and of course this classic (cos it's the most UP track ever):

Does anybody remember a track that was really just that rave piano refrain with vocals going "eeeeeeee-eeeeee-eeee" buried deepish in the mix? Never knew who it was, but it was deadly..

I recorded it off one of those dance stations that always played tracks for Bobser who loves Jacinta and Bisto who loves Chazie...
