Lankum (1 Viewer)

bought the album yesterday - havent given it a proper listen.

young fella was very impressed with the orange vinyl and poster/card.

so there's a vote from a design perspective at least.

he did agree with that the cover looked very mid 90s*

that New York Trader song is a banger

Listened to the first couple of tracks of False Lankum seeing as so many people are losing their shit over it.

Cool sounds but not much in the way of songs.

Continued on with it.

It's good. I never liked them before but this is good.

Probably trad for people who don't much like trad. Tonally they've got major godspeed thing going on.

That Landless album is quality alright. They're meant to have a new one on the way too. The Lankum album is superb. Great to see it doing so well for them.

You've also got Junior Brother. Ye Vagabonds. Percolator. Hands Up Who Wants To Die. Ten Past Seven. One Leg One Eye. Moundabout and loads more.

If yous haven't heard the One Leg One Eye album get on it. @nooleen @Cornu Ammonis

The one that took the biscuit for me was girl band changing to gilla band.
I thought it was a wind up. I've no problem with them changing their name, but feeling the need to publicly apologize to anyone they might have offended for misgendering. Rock bands are afraid they might offend anyone. Absolutely pathetic.
Waiting for these to do the same
