This is a gig arranged by Trinity's Alternative Music Society.

It's the first Land Lovers gig with a monochrome poster, and for that reason alone you have to come.

6 euro will gain you admittance, unless you are a member of the aforementioned student organisation, in which case 4 euro will do.

Here's a synopsis of the rest of the fare on offer:

Squarehead are/is very appealing in a melodic fashion that Land Lovers can get behind in a way that doesn't confuse them at all, they/he are also cool judging by the fact that they play at the Box Social and what not: http://www.myspace.com/squareheadmusic

Feed the Bears like to speak for themselves. Here's what they say: "Feed the Bears are a happy coincidence of the debris and detritus of other Dublin bands. we're only off the ground as yet , but we've got an itch to do a lot of gigs and record a lot of songs. Most of them started off as 6 minute messes of harmonies, skittering drums and riffs. Some of them have been pared down to 5 minutes. People dancing, head-nodding, or crying means those songs have done their job."
Land Lovers can confirm that the excellent FTB are all they claim to be.

ALL OF THESE BANDS are aware of the Popical Island collective in some way shape or form.

Here's the fAcEbOoK event!

This is on tonight BUT we have temporarily lost our drummer to a horrible illness so we'll be on first and doing a scrappy semi-acoustic set and maybe a joke or two to fill the time.

great gig

Missed Land Lovers on account of band practice but caught Squarehead and was amazed. This was my second time seeing him and he's a really unique talent, absolutely brilliant. Feed the Bears were also fantastic, really original and lovely guitar sounds (plus great drummer) nice folk too.

More brilliant midweek gigs in Anseo, please.

Agreed, I was blown away by Feed the Bears. Squarehead has a bunch of absolutely cracking numbers there and a great voice.

Fun night all right. Fair play to Simon Hefty Horse and the DUAMS lads. More of that kind of carry on. Squarehead was deadly, what was that 'wah wah wah ' cover he did called ? Land Lovers are a belting, even without the drummer there was a lovely buzz to it. Deadly choruses
