hello,
I am selling my Kramer DMZ1000 aluminium-necked guitar.
A few facts followed by photos:
built in 1979~
I’ve had it about 10 years.
it plays lovely and has a thick-fish feel to the neck.
it has a Schaller wrap-around style bridge.
non-original humbucking pick-ups installed (no idea what they are but they sound great).
there is no little plate over the neck heel so no serial #
the three small switches are for coil-splitting / tapping apparently. I’ve really no idea what they do but they do affect the tone somehow.
the neck snapped off and was professionally glued before i bought it. its never affected the sound or playability.
the strap button on the upper horn snapped off one gig and it has been epoxied back on and is rock solid.
i (Wood)glued the pick(/scratch)guard on and it should be easy to remove it needs be (bit of heat should loosen it up) and shouldn’t leave a mark / affect the finish.
the tuners are original Schallers but because the screw holes for them were worn they were loos ewhen i got it so they are soldered in with a small bit of metal through the holes. only the g-string tuner moves a small bit and would easily be fixed by the buyer.
it comes with the battered old hardcase i originally bought it in AND
a shitty leather-effect strap with rubber straplocks too.
they often go for well over €1000 in good nick but as you can see mine has seen better days.
willing to let it go for €600.
big discount for thumped fellows
