Kero Kero Bonito are a band from London, England. The trio met on an internet forum in 2013; singer Sarah was born in Nagoya to a Japanese mother and British father, before moving to Kenilworth, UK at the age of 13, while producers Gus and Jamie have been friends since school.
They created their own colourful electro-pop universe on the mixtape Intro Bonito (2014), albumBonito Generation (2016) and singles including “Flamingo” and “Trampoline”. In 2017 they returned to the suburbs that made them and started rehearsing with guitar, bass and drums.
Introducing their new style with the four-track TOTEP earlier in the year, KKB’s second albumTime ‘n’ Place will be released in 2018.
Signposted by the songs “Only Acting” (pop-punk noise chaos) and “Time Today” (chipper Casiotone melancholy), Time ‘n’ Place is KKB’s response to indie-rock history.
The Time ‘n’ Place tour is KKB’s first using a 5-piece live band. Playing selections from across their discography arranged for guitar, bass, drums, keyboards and vocals, it will be their most raucous yet.
