Ah must have seen that one. I need both or at least the back brake. Do you know anything about the tektro stuff? Bound to be better than the pro max calipers that were on the bike right?

I only heard of tektro for the first time yesterday when a mate asked me about a Corratec Tiagra bike (it had tektro calipers).

I'm surprised I hadn't heard of them. They must be fairly entry level shimano.

I have used these before and found them ok. They did lock up eventually, but I went fairly hard on them;

I looked at the Tora but I reckon the Tektro R310 are a slightly better brake, think I'll stick with them. Cheers for the help lads.

Not sure if I'm keeping the drop bars but it's now running as a single speed.

go with straight bars,much more stylish.and that's what 90% of cycling's about.

Haha, my sis has a spare set of straights with for me to try out so I'll see from there (just remembered I should've bought grips for the straight bars off chain reaction last night.). We were joking last night of chopping a bit off the drop bars and turning them outside down like it was cool to do a few years ago.
