i haven't been to see a play in years... i think it was pygmalion or something

i'm very uncultured

ah I was always brought as a kid, one of the few things the tiny midlands village I came from had was a small theater. Go to the odd one now and again but wanna make it a more regular occurrence, sick of pubs, gigs, repetition. I see the Field is on soon, defo be catching that.

I used to go all the time... i've not been in about two years though. Too poor.

i just don't really appreciate the theatre, or art

Well, I think it's the least artistic of all the arts. I can't help feeling that theatre mainly serves as an excuse for a lot of things I don't particularly approve of. Although there's an actor in the family so I'd better be careful...

I agree with this:

John Updike said:
The unreality of painted people standing on a platform saying things they've said to each other for months is more than I can overlook.

i find plays to be like holidays. generally very enjoyable, but i'm ready for them to be over when they finish. i should go to more though. was raging that i missed gambon in Krapps Last Tape there a while back.
