I was looking at scans of old issues of Smash Hits.
it hilarious to see Landscape looking like this in 1981 because SH published a picture of them looking really 70's in 1977 and grilled them on their new wave credentials.

apparently one of the ways that they got the re-release to be a hit in the states was that they had localised versions for the whole of america. the bit at 3:14 where he shouts “new york!” was re-recorded with different shout-outs for every major city in america (“chicago!” “LA!”, etc). then they sent the appropriate versions out to the relevant radio stations. so everyone thought it was a song about their town.
