Italian bands?

What i mean is: i come from Italy so really have a strong tie to the bands and the 'scene' over there and believe that some bands really deserve some recognition outside of Italy's borders. To Kill already have had a chance at the end of February, but the bands that should get recognitions are countless.

So this is why i call all promoters and fans to see if they would be interested in eventually putting on gigs both North and South of the border. I wouldn't have problems with putting up a gig on the North Coast and think i could sort something out in Belfast, but to make the trip worth it for the band it would be ideal if 2/3 dates could be sorted out South of the border. Nothing precise in mind, even tho i have talked to a few bands and they would be interested in it if the chance was there.

So if there is anyone interested or would like to hear more about Italian bands, just give me a shout.

I am in direct contact with Plakkaggio HC (of which i have 10 copies of the most recent album) and have been having a few chats with Antisexy (and a certain extent Milizia HC, even tho the status of the band is a bit tricky), Straight Opposition and Painture. But i know people that have direct contacts with bands that i think should have a chance. It's mostly Italian-style hardcore punk because I am involved with a collective of people that try to help the scene, but i can get contacts for crustpunk/anarchopunk bands quite easily.

But here are the links of the 4 bands i have direct contact with:
Plakkaggio HC: http://www.myspace.com/plakkaggiohc
Antisexy: http://www.myspace.com/antisexyrulez
Paintrue: http://www.myspace.com/paintrue
Straight Opposition: http://www.myspace.com/straightopposition

But really it would be great for me to establish 'permanent' contacts so that mini-Irish tours for Italian bands can be organized in a relatively easy way.

Aye, The Smashrooms are great! Their 'Rest in war' album is a cracker. And they are one of a kind in Italy, i yet haven't heard anything like them in the past 2 years. However, here's the myspace link for The Smashrooms
http://www.myspace.com/smashrooms

LaQuiete are great! Even tho these days they are not up to much and they rarely play any gigs.

Anyways, seems that someone afterall knows some spaghetti-hardcore. So aye, keep in touch if interested in putting on stuff.

I was meant to see them at the Magazzino 47 when i was back home over christmas, but they cancelled. Are they as amazing live as people say?

Aye, all the guys of the Magazzino 47 seem very great guys. I have been speaking with the guy that runs Still Screaming DIY and know the singer of a new crust band and both top blokes.

Talking of which, for all the crusties, a few of bands that i think would be great to see in Ireland (and believe would go down well):
Giuda: http://www.myspace.com/giudaiscariota
Kontatto: http://www.myspace.com/kontatto
ANXTV: http://www.myspace.com/anxtv
Dirty Power Game: http://www.myspace.com/dirtypowergame

Listen to Wretched!!

And Campus Stermini.

Ah, Wretched are truly Italian legends! Even tho now the singer is loaded and can be seen around Milan with a Ferrari.

And going back to the links of band i have just posted, one of the members of Campus Sterminii also plays in Kontatto and used to (maybe still does) play in Giuda.

Woah!! That makes them twice as cool!

Nice one for the links there A-Bob.I reckon Antisexy are my fave outta those.Singers got a great voice and the tunes are bordering on melodious which I have to say is a big selling point with me.Next up Straight Opposition are fucking deadly also,I'd say they play a ripping show.did'nt dig the other two so much but thats my business.I like to get turned on to new h/c though so respect.

I just spotted those crusty links now.I'll have to get my P.A. to screen them for me before I clap lugs on 'em.

Antisexy, besides Straight Opposition and Plakkaggio HC, are a band i was talking to for a while after the summer and would be willing to come round here (if they manage to sort out the drummer crisis).

And well, on my part is always good see some bands from back home getting positive feedback.
