Is it worth getting a Tesco/Dunnes clubcard? (1 Viewer)

tesco, u get 1 point for euro spent, they add up and you're sent vouchers for your most bought products along with some recommended products, if you plan to just shop at one place it helps

Looking for ways to save money. How much would you save on average a year? Is it worth it?

You save 1% of your bill, but its not worth it. Consider that you are handing money to an importer that generally pays minimum wage and then takes the rest of the money out of the country and has no problems with child labour and non fair trade products. Shop local, buy irish and spend an extra fiver a week on food - become as self righteous as me!!!gloat!gloat!gloat!gloat

Jazes Ann,you've really taken to the Smiley fella..he's funny..

Anyway Goblin..I've a Tesco clubcard keyring..it rocks.Just scan it in when yer doing yer shopping and you get a few vouchers which ARE redeemable for fags and booze 'n everything.Sweet!

Scant reward for becoming part of their statistical analysis of buying habits and tailoring of available products thusly

The data they can extrapolate from clubcards is mind boggling. Have had dealings with a tesco subsidiary about locating an outlet in Ireland and the background knowledge they had was scary.
You really need to be spending about 300 a month on groceries for it to be worth the bother, Dunnes card has a few more incentives on it and special deals, especially coming up to xmas.
