Ive a pain in me hole with ipods-
apple's customer support in ireland is non existent, if your ipod dies you either have to contact apple to collect it or somehow bring it out to a place in blanchardstown that is only open 9-5 and who dont send them out to you when they are fixed.its the only place that fixes them ye see!

so even if your ipod is in guarantee you have to pay 15 quid handling charge and either pay for a courier to send it out to you or get out there yourself within office hours.

I always handled oth my ipods with care but both of them died on me.rant!

I have a 512k mp3 player for the last three years. Probably the best value for money item I've ever bought.
I like it because I put 5 albums and a bunch of tracks on it and I'm forced to listen to them and gve stuff a chance that I might've just skippped over. So there.

likewise, I have one of those ipod shuffle yokes. i recharge whats on it every few weeks, putting any new albums or tracks people have given me on it-have a chance to listen to them properly!. does me fine.
