aaaahhhhHHAAAAAaa.....what Yurn is SAYING is that WE were in a dream from the get-go and the CLOSING bit was for US to ask if we're awake or NOT...but the totem is not OURS so it can't REALLY tell us IF its a dream or not but MORE importantly AS Yurn HAS stated:
'Everyone SHUT up ABOUT the ENDING, who CARES!!!
The ending has nothing to do w the plot because......THERE WAS NO PLOT...IT WAS ALL JUST NOLANS DREEEEEEAAAAMM!!!!

Thanks for the "kick" Yurn.

" Did Nolan "borrow" from Don Rosa's story about Scrooge McDuck? Or is it a coincidence? Or is it possible that two films exist featuring heists that take place in a subject's dreamscape?

Of course Nolan did not borrow from stories about Scrooge McDuck, Nolan is ethically and creatively better than that. Nolan is today's most original and imaginative director.

Although...

Memento was based off of his brother's story, Memento Mori.

The Prestige was based off of the novel, The Prestige.

The Batman movies were based off of, well, the Batman comic books.

Insomnia was a remake of the movie, Insomnia.

Inception was based off of the comic book story, Dream of a Lifetime from the Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck.

I'm joking about the last one. Sort of."

Saw this in Wroclaw , Poland last week. Absolutely gob smacked - made one big mistake though, had to take a piss a half hour through the movie and came back to hear Ellen Page ask whose subconscious she was in! Delighted this one has made a bomb at box office as this can only mean that Hollywood will have to realise that their IS a market for intelligently crafted blockbusters. Let's hope this sets the precedent.
