that's well nice.

its definitely the nicest one I've built so far thanks..
have had no end of problems with getting the red finish right, and various wood/strains/oils/waxes not playing nice (my own fault really - I kinda chanced my arm).

next project - something finished in shellac!

Oh yeah I meant to post this bit of relicing that I like. Just checking in the finish but done well imo.

Wrong thread but fuck it. Here's a wiring job I did this week. Trying to get my own style down with it 'cause that's the kinda nerd I am. I don't like cutting pickup cables so it could be a little if I cut them short.

neat - like the placement of tone cap pulling from the swicth.

did you ever try the cap/resistor in series version of the treble bleed circuit? I did it on a jagmaster I had with split HB last year (1nf and 250K IIRC), worked really well - didnt mess up with volume taper at all.

I might have done it on a Yamaha SG 1000 I think.

If I were to buy a Tele ( not a chance for several reasons) it would be something like that, off the shelf.

Yeah, not sure of the point of vintage style saddles except to make intonation more difficult.

Sometimes we just need to embrace progress.

It arrived. Just got a squire offset telecaster in the post.
I haven't plugged it in yet or anything but it feels nice.

Whats the latest on this? Any use?

My birthday is coming up and I'm thinking of getting a new guitar.. possibly a mustang but I'm seeing some short scale paranormals that look pretty nice!

Eg this one..

Fender SQ Paran. Super-Sonic SHP

The only thing putting me off really is the humbuckers..
