There's a bit in the first half of the season that's like a poorer version of a thing that happened in The Sopranos and then the last half is like a bad version of a thing that was The West Wing.

The actress who plays Hannah Conway is Irish, never spotted her accent slip in it

I'm about 4 in and it seems kind of random and wandering.

Stuff happens, but there doesn't seem to be any larger plan that Frank is working towards - which was what made the first season great.

Show just wanders from obstacle to obstacle - which he gets over somehow or other. It hard to build any tension into this - he's hardly going to loose the election! But at least before the tension arose from his manipulations, whether they would work, and how he would adjust when they didn't.

Now that it's just external forces buffeting him and how he'll survive - who cares - he'll clearly survive somehow or other.

I stopped after Season 3, Episode 1. I was gonna get back into it again, is there any point?
