I had to do that the other week. I was working in a very swanky shop, so at normal times security is understandably high, although it's always a nuisance.
It seemed ridiculous. They already have my image and all my details as I worked there loads of times. There's cctv everywhere. There was only 8 people in the entire building at the time. And I have no interest in stealing any of their stuff. But no one caused a fuss since trying to explain logical things to security people doesn't usually get you far.

Speaking of hardened criminals. Was sitting on the loo about 10:30 last night. Hear glass smash from outside. Knew exactly what it was having had our car broken into several times. Stand up, open the window and see some little prick with his hand through the front window of our neighbours car. He got the fright of his life to see me shouting out the window at him to fuck off and scarpered off pretty quick.
