This was my soundtrack for last year. Due to a lack of anything to replace it with, it's so far been the soundtrack to this one too.

Anyone recommend anything else?

Also, Beach House are touring the UK and Europe in Oct/Nov, can someone bring them here please?

Justin Hayward - Forever Autumn

Don't come much more autumno-stalgic™® than this

The summer sun is fading as the year grows old
And darker days are drawing near...
The winter winds will be much colder
Now you're not here. I watch the birds fly south across the autumn sky
And one by one they disappear.
I wish that I was flying with them
Now you're not here
Like a song through the trees you came to love me
Like a leaf on a breeze you blew away...
Through autumn's golden gown we used to kick our way
You always loved this time of year.
Those fallen leaves lie undisturbed now
'Cause you're not here
Like a song throught the trees you came to love me
Like a leaf on a breeze you blew away...
A gentle rain falls softly on my weary eyes
As if to hide a lonely tear...
My life will be forever autumn
'Cause you're not here!

I'm listening to loads of folky pastrol 60's and 70's stuff lately. Must try do one of them podcasts.

Oh yes, please do! I want more folk stuff.

CinnamonBoy, I know these are really obvious, but the Magnetic Fields do it for me and any early Joni, especially Blue, which is the best music ever made on the entire planet.

Apart, of course from Bruce. Try Darkness on the Edge of Town, it has a really dusty end-of-age feel to it. If "Racing in the Street" doesn't make you feel something in your innermost feeling bits, you should worry about the state of your soul. Beautiful.

Also, Richard and Linda Thompson, I Wanna See the Bright Lights Tonight.

Errr. Okay, I just listed my favourites instead. Still, they're my favourites because they suit every mood.

Bizarrely enough I'm actually listening to that this very minute and you're not wrong

Strangely I had this picked out to bring with me today for the commute.

Changed my mind at the last minute and brought NoMeansNo The People's Choice instead.
