Anyone use one? Got any advice or recommendations?
I have no idea what I'm looking at with them, and don't need anything fancy. Being able to record a loud guitar band in a small room,a built in speaker, and the ability to drag and drop onto a computer are probably about as much as I'm looking. And I'd rather walk into a shop and buy one.

Of course I'll probably end up not buying one,but sure we can talk about it.

I've never used one for band practice but Zoom's are the business. I think the bottom of the range one is about 100 quid.

Zooms deal with volume well. Usually just use the auto levels setting and get clear recordings from my loud bands.

Not ideal but I record video on the iphone instead of audio. It handles loudness much better. Point it at the wall or something. There are posh apps too

We use Iphones a lot too. Top tip: they work great in your pocket rather than worrying where ya point it.
