Groom launch their new album, "All This Happened, More Or Less" on November 12th in the Boom Boom Room, above Conway's on Parnell Street, Dublin.

Support is from the supreme and indie-poptastic Glenwash.

Here's the deal. You pay a tenner, you get into the gig and also get a free album. "That's a pretty good deal, and people should definitely go!" said a Groom fan today. "Pass the butter, Mom," was the reply.

You can read about the album and other shenanigans here:

Reviews of All This Happened, More Or Less:

"
very catchy indie rock sounds with lots of old style crunchy analogue synth sounds, some lovely vocal harmonies and some seriously bouncy singalong choruses" - Road Records web site

"gorgeous choruses...manages to fill something of a spacy sadness, that’s built for those who might like a little melancholy sometimes, but without the hang-ups." - Eclectic Honey music webzine

That's a bloody good deal. The best goddam Irish indie-rock deal since Wormhole did "Chicks Dig Scars"+ Launch for a fiver. And Glenwash thrown into the bargain ;-)...it's a no-brainer.

here, before i listen to the music and can make an informed decision, or indeed before i read the rest of this thread, i just have to say i love the name of the album.
love it.

Sadly, the title is the high-point of the album. After that, it's all Mike banging on about farmers, wondering what old school mates are up to, codebreaking, being dumped by a gardener, women with no names, polar bears making friends with Eskimos (like that would ever happen) and love.
How gay does all that sound?

This album is superb. Looking forward to the launch night - it'll be nice to hear the songs live now that I know them a bit better. I love the song that goes "Ro zip up your trousers/put away your lady arouser". Moving.
