I haven't ordered records from outside Europe for years and the last time I got an LP from the USA was about 2009 (the postage was about $8.50 then.)
I saw a new LP I wanted for on a U.S. site for $10 recently but the $17.50 postage meant it was out of the question...

MP3 files often sound bad - nothing like the record sometimes.

I can't really tell the difference between vinyl and CD sound the difference seems minimal and I said the same thing in the nineties.
however CD's do sound better than records that have been played hundreds of times.

basically I don't give a shit what format it is as long as it's affordable (CDR's and Cassettes fit the bill on that count).
