how did grey worm and his army get past donkey boy from the iron islands? I thought they all got smashed up.

they let them in, then destroyed their boats to cut them off. meanwhile annexing highgarden - sorta cuts danarys troops in half on the ground.

Two different fleets, one was on it's way to Dorn and got ambushed. Other made it's way to Casterley Rock where they succeeded in taking the castle only to have the Iron folk arrive after them and smash up their fleet.

Is Dorne that not Cornwall backwards? Whole map is a mixed up British Isles anyhow no doubt.

Dorne is Spain. King's Landing is like France or central Europe. The reach would be England. The North is obviously the north of England/Scotland. Beyond the Wall is like the Arctic circle. So you just have to imagine a strip of land going North to South that distance and you have Westeros.

North of the wall could as easily be canada, seeing that george r r r r martin is american.

Concievably the wildlings are Irish/scottish leaving the iron islands people to be ship building scandiwegians, but then the speculation is open to speculation.

Having dorne connected by land suggests fuedal Europe projected on the americas but much easier to film in Europe with all the actual castles.
