I'm London bound today and since the friend I'm visiting is pretty much always working, anyone have any ideas of (inexpensive, possibly free) fun things to do in London on your own during the day?

Also any of you London dwellers know if theres anything good on tonight? I'm taking a few friends out and have no idea where to go as I've never really been out in London aside from the illadvised Camden places when I was a teenager?

The Imperial War Museum is definitely worth a trip.
