Since me and two mates moved into the house we've rented for the past three and a half eyars werid ghostly happenings have occured. I usually can just put aside the odd happenings but one or two things keep happening all the time in the past two months and last night it freaked me out yet again.

I was sitting in the sitting room around 1am and all of a sudden the record player turns on and starts playing the Jesu album I had shut off hours ago, so I turned it off, lifted the needle off the record and put it back on standby, mind you I was pretty freaked and sat back down. Twenty minutes later the record starts playing again, remember I had taken the fucking needle off the record and put the thing on standby. This same thing has happened with me and one of my housemates on two other occassions both around 1-2am and both other times when there was two or three of us to witness it. One time was especially scary considering it was death metal band coffins record and it started off low and slow (as if someone was moving ther record by hand and distorting the sound) and then sped up and got incredibly loud.

This only happens at those times, in all the time we've been in the gaff we have never come home to the record player being on or it never happens during the day, just in those early morning hours.

So fucking freaky.

Despite that other mad shit has happened to one of my housemates in particular, the most shocking being one night while in her bedroom a light started eminating for about 4 seconds from behind a lamp shade, but a) lamp wasnt plugged in and b) there was no fucking bulb in the lamp! See I can usually put shit down to maybe being stoned or maybe some sort of flashback/paranoia crap however my housemate has never touched booze or drugs ever! She has also been in the house when these massive stones, seemingly from nowhere slam down in our hallway.

This is only a fraction of the mad shit that has happened, a while back I came home and could very clearly hear the voices of two women talking inside my house as I put my key in the door, assuming it was my housemate and her friend I didnt think owt of it, until I went inside and realised there was no-one there.

Anyway anyone else hear live with a ghost?

No, I've never seen a gho...AAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHGHHA

AAAGH

AAAAAAAGH

>blood curdling choking sound<

stic jet ear and electronic smatterings and loodjes. ' bedroom' from time to time the best album summarises of which poll is frequently narcoleptic, summon all tired 5am cigarettes and break. But the tunes went well further then such stylising, with those beautiful poll melodies on step seal scripting outside in morning slightly and sleep comes tomorrow. And unless everyone of tenacious beats of head tel. slumbered and the sound with distance PR disappears slowly

infrequent thumped user juno would testify to my mates picture of ghost. not really easy to describe other then saying theres a woman in the photo who shouldnt be in the photo, in terms of time, localtion and 3d aspiration.

I would say they're not ghosts at all , but time traveling metallers in spacesuits

deadly, ive always wanted to see ghostly behaviour, can i come live with you for a week?the worst i get is strange knockings on my window at all hours, like fingers tapping on it but when i look out theres nothing there...plus its a fire escape with nowhere to hide, most queer.

A bunch of us used to live in a gaff above Bo Derroll's pub in
Smithfield. Pint glasses would regularly explode, one in particular
cracked perfectly diagonally, as if it had been sliced, and the top
slid off onto the floor. A few of the lads would complain of
hearing noises coming from the attic, three loud thumps like
footsteps followed by a crash. I didn't believe them until I heard
them myself.
It turns out a guy hung himself in our jacks and another shot
dead in the pub downstairs, both before we moved in. While we
were living there someone OD'd downstairs too.
I reckon it was just old glasses that cracked from too much use
and junkies climbing on the roof. Ghosts are for spas. When a
spirit who is stuck on our plane of existence shows me a stack
of hidden money or classic 60's porn, then, and only then, will
I begin to believe. Dead messers, I can't get my head around it.

i get that a lot, usually theres a rain soaked figure witha carry out staring wantingly in my window.

wasn't there someone on here talking about standing waves as a cause of supernatural phenomena?

i remember a good documentary about this kind of thing, some kind of frequency that caused "ghostly paranoia" in controlled experiments. that said, if i heard even the slightest hint of a ghost fart, you'd see a froog shaped hole in my front door. freakiest story i heard was an apartment in a real old building in my home town that the meat from the freezer/fridge would be splayed all over the house every morning. happened to three consecutive tenants. although some mornings after a heavy session i'd find mysterious pizza boxes and empty bottles of rum in my bedroom so maybe its not that strange. i fucking love ghost stories.
