A lad in work wants to do a little of what he calls photoshopping.
I think he just needs to superimpose someones head onto someone elses body or something along those lines. It's for christmas cards or somesuch.

Recommend me something that will do this simple task in a simple way please

Thanks...

Splashup looks deadly on the face of it. Like a very light Photoshop. Then you start using it and it does crazy shit for no reason. You go to use the eraser and it starts throwing layers all over the place. Wasting my time. I gave up. 0 out of 10 because I found it 100% unusable.

I never used gimp but its supposed to be pretty good.

Theres also a bunch of free online stuff these days:

Picnik is an online photo editor (you need to register): http://www.picnik.com/app#/home/welcome

Splashup is another site that requires registration. it has a similiar layout to photoshop: http://www.splashup.com/

Theres a bunch of other editors available here: http://mashable.com/2007/06/23/photography-toolbox/

Just had a go on that picnik now and it's fairly decent, autofix is fairly similar to auto levels on PS. It's no photoshop but it's not bad for free. It's available on flickr now too, through the edit function(beside delete, above the picture in medium view).
