Dominique Fishback stars as Dre, a young woman whose obsession with a Beyonce-like pop star takes a dark turn.

Glover recently described the series as a “post-truth Piano Teacher mixed with The King of Comedy” and says the Dre character is a classic Tony Soprano/Don Draper style antihero but “through the lens of a Black, modern-day woman”.

Chloe x Halle singer Chloe Bailey co-stars as Dre’s sister Marissa, while “Snowfall” actor Damson Idris plays Dre’s boyfriend. Glover co-created the series with “Atlanta” writer Janine Nabers.

The series will have its world premiere at the upcoming SXSW festival, ahead of releasing on Amazon’s Prime Video on March 17th.

Topical.

Peacock has released a deliberately rather vague teaser for “Mrs. Davis,” its upcoming new series from “Watchmen” and “The Leftovers” showrunner Damon Lindelof.

An exploration of faith vs. technology, former “GLOW” star Betty Gilpin will play Simone, a nun who goes to battle against an all-powerful Artificial Intelligence known as Mrs. Davis.

Man, that Mrs. Davis, Silo, Big Door Prize - and Everything, Everywhere... - are all variations on a theme, of this fear we have that we're somehow ordinary and part of a sleepwalking mass of humanity .
That death is coming and we haven't made the most of life we were given.
Or that there's a deeper truth and we're too captured by inertia, habit and our quotidian existence to fully see it.
Not knocking it.
I mean I guess it's just a variation on a theme of anyone-can-be-a-star or be president or whatever, but these all seem very 'now'.
That there is some great adventurous/glamorous and happy life awaiting us, if only we'd just do better at living.

I always liked JK Simmons character in Palm Springs, who just wanted to go back and spend eternal days with his wife and kid.

Anyways, I will probably watch all of these
