Is Jerusalem good?

Yes but it’s a major commitment. The first chunk of the book is a bit of a bewildering slog but suddenly it all clicks into place and it is magnificent. The only thing I could do without is his chapter written in Joycean/Finnegans Wakean punning. It’s really long and not entirely necessary (but who am I to tell Alan Moore that?). I’m definitely going to read it again.

Voice of the Fire is also good and gives you a good taste of what to expect from Jerusalem but much shorter.

I actually remember being a bit miffed as a kid that the ending was changed.

I never saw the film but WHAT THE FUCK!!! That was one of the most amazing and poignant things about the book

Anne Hathaway - I always thought she was very pretty, but never, like ... hot. That trailer tho
