Might watch it for a laugh some time. If you think you can take all the Will Smith, watch Gemini Man and tell me you can still take it
You got me there, and man I tried to like this
I watched it with my nephew in an empty cinema down at the Point

Even Mary Elizabeth Winstead couldn’t save it – and she’s brilliant too

Just bad all the way through

Every time the super elite killer bad guys came for him, they made sure to do it noisily enough to wake him up and over an exterior wall within line of sight of his bed

If the guy that made Tangerine can make a great looking movie on a fucking iPhone, how does Ang Lee make a shit looking one using cutting edge tech

Nah I don't believe it, she could save anything. I could probably even watch a Scary Movie movie with her in it
She’s so good in that movie where she’s captured by John Goodman
Like she’s on her own and has to act a lot with her expressions and actions – and she does it so well

It’s gotta be hard to undersell something so perfectly like that and she makes it look easy

I’ll see the Harley movie because she’s in it

I'd imagine Ang Lee turned up for about 2 hours a day to direct the actors and the rest was done by a mish mash of 2nd unit directors which is why it looks like a dog's dinner.

Second Unit Director or Assistant Director

Jorge Abril...ad pa
Jeff J.J. Authors...first assistant director
Adam Bocknek...second assistant director: second unit / second second assistant director
Darrin Brown...first assistant director: second unit / key second assistant director
Ana María Cabrera...second assistant director: colombia unit
Luke Crawford...second second assistant director
Vincent Giarratano...first assistant director: additional photography / second assistant director: additional photography
Gabor 'Hege' Hegedus...assistant director (as Gábor Hegedüs Hege) / third assistant director: Splinter Unit (as Gábor Hegedüs Hege)
András Hornek...assistant director: Hungary
András Hárskúti...assistant director: Hungary
Christian Labarta...second second assistant director: Colombia
George Lambert...additional second assistant director
Ben Lanning...first assistant director: Colombia
Lõcsei Márton...assistant director: Hungary
Hajós Péter...third assistant director
Stephen Turselli...additional second assistant director
Ferenc Tóth...assistant director
Hajnalka Vajay...third assistant director: Hungary
Tamás Vass...first assistant director: Hungary
Karen Young...second assistant director

Holy shit, that’s a long list. And it was sloppy as fuck.

The look was more Lee’s insistence of using the super high frame rate – which just uncanny valleys everything you’re watching. Like you’re experiencing the movie as your own nightmare.

My nephew pretended to like it. But I can tell when he’s faking.

this sounds amazing

I like him, but that Hidden Life yoke really dragged

I think I'll try and get some ayahuasca before watching this one

Watching A Hidden Life tonight.
Don't let me put you off
I saw it at a festival - so it was like the third movie I saw that day and it was in an ancient theatre so my knees were jammed up against the seat in front of me, in old man agony for the whole 3 hours

Your mileage may definitely vary

It's a very beautiful film. And August Diehl is amazing in it.
