I must say I'm starting to like the look of some of them ...they've got set necks and the whole shebang

All they'd need would be a some quality pick ups..Iron Gears maybe, and you'd be rocking in style I reckon.Well maybe not style..but you'd certainly have the sound down right

Whats the consensus round here?

There's better out there by far. For new Edwards/Tokai/Vintage. For old near anything set neck and Japanese.

Really though there's a Tokai Les Paul Jnr in Some Neck for around 250/300 that I think you'd love. Same as this one. Have had to slap myself and say two SGs and part of a GS is enough for any bass player.

Tokai Love Rock Junior, White

There's a busker in temple bar, he's usually near the Thunder road cafe He's a good player. He does stuff like Santana, Gary Moore, still got the blues ect.... He uses an Epiphone LP. Sounds really good.

Every epiphone les Paul I've played has never once stayed in tune, even with nice tuners and freshly set intonation. I've found them cheap feeling
Ironically the cheapo Tokai / Asian variations on them are much much nicer to play and they'll last longer.
Basically.... What the lads said up there^^

I've never held one in my hands so I'll have to take you word on it.

I don't understand how they could go out of tune like you say though

I've an Epiphone Casino and the first thing I had to do with it was stick a decent set of machine heads on it. The originals were rubbish If youi dug in at all it went out of tune. Its rock solid now, even with a Bigsby.

Higher end Epi's can be excellent, but then you into used Gibson price ranges.
