Wednesday 29th August, 2012: BACARDÍ has announced stage times for the award-winning CASA BACARDÍ Arena at Electric Picnic 2012 which will feature a stellar line-up of top international and Irish DJ talent, including FRANCOIS K, PRINS THOMAS, DARSHAN JESRANI (METRO AREA), THE 2 BEARS, CRAZY P and TODD TERJE. The now legendary BACARDÍ arena has established itself as a firm favourite among Electric Picnic fans as the perfect destination for both soaking up the festival atmosphere over a BACARDÍ cocktail and the ultimate place to party.

In addition to presenting an eclectic spread of DJ’s over the course of the three days in Stradbally, BACARDÍ has given its Irish Facebook fans the chance to help create the ultimate BACARDÍ party experience through a series of ‘Like Offs’ which has allowed them to have their say on the music, the cocktails, the games and the atmosphere which visitors to CASA BACARDÍ will be able to enjoy throughout the Electric Picnic weekend.

There is also a special treat in store for those of a more curious nature as CASA BACARDÍ will feature a secret Cuban Room. But ssshhh … that’s all we can say for now!

Mixing is not just for DJ’s at CASA BASCARDÍ and BACARDÍ will also mark 150 years of serving legendary cocktails by having its expert bartenders on hand to serve up the latest and most refreshing cocktails along with some of the world’s most popular BACARDÍ cocktails over the years – including Ireland’s festival favourite, the BACARDÍ Mojito, the BACARDÍ Raspberry Daiquiri, BACARDÍ Cuba Libre and other BACARDÍ favourites.

The CASA BACARDÍ line up includes, New York-based French DJ, Francois K, critically-acclaimed UK musical duo, The 2 Bears, Nottingham’s favourite Disco House/Electronica specialists, Crazy P, Norwegian ‘space-disco’ DJ, Prins Thomas, veteran Brooklyn-based producer, Darshan Jesrani (Metro Area), Norway’s, Todd Terje who will bring his unique blend of musicality and playfulness to CASA BACARDÍ. I saw the band Grimes at the electric picnic. They were two Irish hipster guys playing a terrible faux-rockabilly song, something about a gretsch guitar..the bass player was terrible

SO I googled Grimes this morning and realised it was all a dream

I think the real Grimes clashed with the Cure so a combination of that and they not really being that good probably meant there was no one at it.

Also, were there really that few people at Gavin Friday? I nearly feel sorry for him.
