Elec Picnic adds TIGA, Stacey Pullen, JUAN ATKINS, Crystal Fighters, TROJAN SNDSTM...

TIGA; STACEY PULLEN; JUAN ATKINS; CRYSTAL FIGHTERS; TROJAN SOUNDSYSTEM; DANIEL WANG; ARVEENE & MISK; MIKKE DEE & MYSTRO; LORCAN MAK
With only 3 weeks left ‘til kick off, Electric Picnic presents you with 8 more reasons to go out and buy your ticket! Its time to get ready to dance your socks off in the Little Big Tent and today we announce the final names to the line up.
Montreal born DJ / Producer Tiga’s appearance at the Electric Picnic will be his first show in Ireland for 2 years. He has risen the ranks to become one of the world’s most in demand electro DJ/Producers whose remix talents have been called upon from the likes of Depeche Mode, Human League, Scissor Sisters, and Soulwax to name a few. His second album Ciao was released last year and featured collaborations from Soulwax, LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy and Jesper Dahlback.

Detroit techno veteran Stacey Pullen plays his first show in Ireland in a decade. Born into a family was part of the Motown group The Capitals he grew up under the mentorship of Detroit's legendary three: Derrick May, Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderson. Still continuing to produce his characteristic atmosphere laden electronic sound, Stacey Pullen compounds his reputation as a producer with that of being one of the world's most in demand DJs, playing weekly across the globe year in, year out.

Juan Atkins is widely considered to have built what stands as perhaps the most influential body of work in the field of dance music. Characterised by his ability to make machines speak, to give them soul, his style of production has inspired a legion of admirers and can still be heard on dance-floors across the globe as well as in Radiohead’s avant garde rock and the futuristic RnB of Timberland and The Neptunes. Without doubt Juan is one of the small band of DJs who have the authority and understanding borne of almost three decades of experience in the booth.

Crystal Fighters make a welcome return to Ireland following on from a storming show at the Body & Soul festival in June of this year; mixing traditional Basque folk music with churning basslines and catchy vocals resulting in lots of Picnickers dancing and to their percussive folktronica. If you didn’t catch them at Body and Soul make sure you catch them this time round!

Trojan Soundsystem were formed in 2004 with members from different reggae groups making them a bit of a reggae supergroup we think! Signed to the Trojan Records label, who are behind a huge catalogue of classic reggae albums over the last 15 years, the band has already had hugely successful shows as a single entity and with the greatest names in reggae.

Daniel Wang is probably best known for making left field disco music and playing lots of old disco music. Having started Balihu Records in ’93 his first release became a cult success, he continued to out records out on this label and gradually moved into production for Environ. Since then he has built a reputation DJing in top clubs around the world.

Arveene & Misk are a Dublin duo making some of the biggest waves in underground music right now. Over the past 2 years they've clocked up 30 genre-busting remixes for the likes of Mr Ozio, The Prodigy, Felix The Housecat, Kitsune, Zombie Nation, Ed Banger, Turbo and Bang Gang 12's. A&M are focused on a plan, and as flattering as the remix offers, production offers and reactions are, the guys are currently locked down in the studio honing their own productions, and concentrating on a live set which will rock your socks off.

Dublin-based New Zealand DJ Mikki Dee is joined by UK MC Mystro for an audiovisual hiphop, funk and reggae work out. Described as 'DJ Yoda meets Roots Manuva', the show uses a serato video mixer and broadcasting videos straight off the decks.

LORCAN MAK has been quickly making a name for himself, getting respect from a wide range of DJ's and producers for his super-clean, Techno-fuelled, House productions and his sub crushing Dj sets. Definitely one to watch...

I was referring to that, should have quoted. Here I picked up a kid Creole and the Coconuts picture disc 7"..."Annie, I'm not your Daddy". It and the b-side "you had no intention" are fanastic. Where to next?

I love 'You had no intention'! LIAR LIAR

I'll send you a PM with proper details, but basically everything from 1976-1984
