Hi there,

Some new bits and pieces just in, check below for details.

Restocks:
Sandra Electronics – Untitled (Downwards) 9.99
Various – Sandwell Sampler Single One (Sandwell District) 8.50
Various – Sandwell Sampler Single Two (Sandwell District) 8.50

NEW RELEASES:

Reality Or Nothing feat. Female/Kalon – Sandwell District Mixes EP 1 (RSB) 8.99
http://veto.co.uk/music/playlists/rsb_8_playlist.m3u
t took many years for folks to realise that Chicago's Housewerk Records was in fact an outlet for Regis and Female's much praised tech-house productions as 'Reality Or Nothing'. Now, here are two full EPs of lost tracks and uber-current mixes in the Sandwell vein with a tip of the hat to the golden age of UK techno house music.

Reality Or Nothing feat. Function / Silent Servant / CH-Signal Laboratories – Sandwell District Mixes EP 2 (RSB) 8.99

Nick Dunton (65D Mavericks) – Journeys To The Deep Vol.1 (Surface) 8.99
http://veto.co.uk/music/playlists/sfbsf_001_playlist.m3u
Surface emerges from the murky depths with a new project / sub-division 'Beneath the Surface'; a series of releases forthcoming sporadically over the next year or so, delving quite literally beneath the surface and showcasing some of the finest and deepest shades that techno and house has to offer with a select line up of old friends and some very special new faces. The first installment 'Journeys To The Deep Vol.1' sees label head honcho Nick Dunton of 65D Mavericks fame at the helm delivering the quality you have come to expect from Surface and it's affiliates and finds Surface continue in it's tradition of moving creatively in it's own direction. “Oikumene (65000 Leagues mix)” is a sure fire club winner, already being hammered by some of the big boys through the current festival season whilst “Echoes from the deep (Submersion mix)” is quite possibly Nick's most cultured track to date.. Timeless and technically hard to classify, it really pushes all the buttons that decent electronic music should.

Kronos Device – Dynamik Devices EP [w. Dynamik Bass Systems remix] (Battle Trax) 8.99
http://veto.co.uk/music/playlists/bt_017_playlist.m3u
It has been five years since the last Kronos Device EP on Battle Trax but now they are back and this time they have the mighty Dynamik Bass System with them! From the hard hitting Electrotech cut “Atom Smasher” to the slower robotic industria of “Us & Them” and with two devastating remixes by two of Electro`s most feared and respected groups in between, the Dynamik Devices EP is bound to leave sound systems throughout the galaxy smoldering as the beats impact and destroy all in their path. The moment is at hand!!

King Cannibal / Scorn / Wee DJs – Super Mantis / Gravel Bed remixes (Combat) 8.50
http://veto.co.uk/music/playlists/combat_027_playlist.m3u
Side A sees globe-trotting beats'n'bass warrior Dylan Richards aka King Cannibal apply his knowledge of precision-cut drumbreaks, fierce rhythms and tortured, filthy bass blasts that were so well displayed on his Ninja Tune album and earlier 12"s on Combat and Rag and Bone. He's taken parts from the powerful original half-step colossus of "Super Mantis" and created a snarling whirlwind of clattering breaks. This remix originally appeared on Mary Anne Hobbs’ Scorn vs. King Cannibal soundclash on Radio 1, and now sees the light of release. Play this one loud and feel the fury. Side B sees a totally different approach by Edinburgh's mysterious Wee DJ's. While Cannibal's version slashes you with chunky, razor snares, the Wee DJs opt to go deep, drawing the listener into a cavernous abyss that's fathoms below, with miles of smothering bass pressure crushing you from above. Sinister, poisonous synth riffs, muted growls, pulsating subs and disturbed, skittering electronic textures permeate the track which cruises like a Kraken in the lightless depts at 134 beats per minute. Adopting a syncopated techno rhythm, this is one for fans of industrial techno exponents like Ancient Methods, Regis, Makaton, Anstam, AQF and Surgeon.

Kelli Hand & Kero – Content EP (Kerohand) 10.99
http://complete-usa.com/kerohand02/
Detroit's Kero(Detroit Underground) and Kelli Hand (Acacia Records) bring another collaboration to wax. KeroHand 02 Content EP features one classic Detroit Electro track from KHand, a signature IDM electro trip from Kero and two remixes from an experienced band of Techno Producers, Jesse Somfay and Punisher. Content EP/ KeroHand 02 is a testament to why the Electro Queen of Detroit and Detroit Underground's Curator/Producer Kero have forged this collaboration. KeroHand 02 incorporates the various elements that make Detroit Techno what it is into a cohesive package by featuring electro, IDM, techno, and left-field electronica.

Dva Damas – Brand New Head (Downwards) 10.99
http://www.veto.co.uk/music/playlists/do_5_playlist.m3u
Downwards spins out three tracks of goth garage from California's Dva Damas. Their songs are brief but assured, from the ghoulish Rock-a-billy strut of 'Brand New Head' with it's sneering bassline and numb synth drones to the motorik bass rev and cascading circus synths of 'See Me' or the cantering Suicide-inspirations of 'Time Dilation'. In essence this record draws a line between the attitudes and aesthetic of leather-jacketed 50's rockers, late 70's New York punks and 90's techno industrialists to end up in 2010 where it's everything, all at once. White vinyl, photocopied insert courtesy of Silent Servant - very limited copies.

Luke’s Anger – Live Wrong And Prosper (Bonusround) 19.99 [2x12”]
http://veto.co.uk/music/playlists/bonusround_007_playlist.m3u
Keeping true to his techno sensibilities (or non-sensibilities?), Live Wrong and Prosper is a full- length-album sized collection of Luke’s finest recent work along with some massive exclusive tracks, including an extra special 2010 VIP re-mash of his 2 biggest tracks to date! (see: ‘Working on the Floor’). Expect ultra-heavy bass juggernauts in ‘Gross Negligence’ and ‘Bruce Wobbelaar’. Sexy acid swing-time in ‘Nice Car’ and ‘Tombstone Trax’ and all out wonk-factor-10 with ‘Worried Sid’ and ‘Beebop Drop’ and many more percolating slammers to be discovered! Fans of the trademark “Luke’s Anger charm” will have a field day with this release, with every track dripping in fat, tasty analogue lushness! Luke’s previous releases have always been picked up by a plethora of across-the- board DJs, receiving support from the likes of Laurent Garnier, Detroit Grand Pubahs, Kid606, Jerome Hill, DJ Warlock, DJ Zinc and Michael Forshaw to name but a few.
