Remember hearing of Butt Trumpet through Flipside magazine in 1993. Bianca Butthole and Thom Bone were contributors to Flipside, if I remember correctly.

One thing I gathered from reading Flipside then was how easy it seemed to be for an LA / Cali band with a bit of local hype to get a major label deal. most flopped (e.g. Possum Dixon) but the odd one got huge e.g. Beck.

I do remember some local bands down in Tullamore covering Butt Trumpet tunes at band nights. Their influence spread wide
