I am sorry to start new thread new start really with Distro-y Records so thought new thread best start lots of old and removed links/images in old thread.
I got a lot of news some of which I still haven't posted here and most of people here probably know it but one thing at a time. I have been quiet but that doesn't mean I am not busy as hell with 4 releases currently in pressing, one band currently LP demoing, another recording end of November, two recording 7"s in December and another band recording early next year and also the Bacchus LP of course!!

New Gods – Gods Of Punk 7″ coming out soon

December 2014 sees the release of the debut 7” from New Gods on Distro-y Records and Warren Street Records. Fermented on Warren Street, Dublin, the punk rock nucleus of Ireland, the five piece made up of old friends from the Dublin hardcore punk scene who got together to kick out some straight up, loud, snotty garage punk, not sparing on the melodies.

Drawing and mutating influences from classic bands such as Dead Boys, Poison Idea, The Misfits and Stiff Little Fingers, they bring four short blasts of rock’n’roll, dripping sleaze and amphetamine sweat to the world on a vicious mission to put the rock back in punk rock.

Recorded on a rain solked, hung over Sabbath morning by Robbie Brady (The Number Ones, September Girls), mixed by Tommy Duffin of 16 Ohm Studios in Glasgow and mastered by Peter Montgomery of CHR Mastering.

The art and layout was done by New Gods very own guitarist Fhyll. Even with members from Irish staples Crowd Control, Drainland and Wolfbait. It is clear that from this release, New Gods are going to forge their own path.

Coming Jan/Feb 2015 we will help release the 11th 7" by Burnt Cross entitled "Life is a Battlefield". This will be 4 new tracks by brothers Rob/Paul who have re-invoked the ideals of Anarcho punk once again and have really earned their place up there with the legendary anarcho punk bands of the Crass era.



All artwork for the 7" has been done by BecK Crowraven Punkbat ArT. The 4 tracks will be entitled as below.
Life is a Battlefield
Mirrors of Deception
Seasons Change
Fuck Russia

Record pressing info: 500 copies released by 14 labels (Distro-y Records, Tadpole Records ....) so each label will not have many copies. So make sure to claim yours early on.

Out this Friday comes Rats Blood - Low Life LP our copies are currently in a DHL Depot in Belgium but will hopefully be here Friday if you are about Belfast on Friday Rats Bloodplay Warzone and if you are about Dublin Saturday Rats Blood play Tenterhooks. You will be the first to know once we get Distro-y copies the band has already got theirs!!!

Rats Blood - Low Life LP out now:

The mutant punks RATS BLOOD that sling from Dublin, rise again to bring their first full lenght LP 'LOW LIFE' on Distro-y Records. Following up on their 'PUNKS IS MUTANTS' 7" from 2013 they are set to create an edge on what was laid down last time by unleashing 13 tracks of their brand of Scandinavian influenced hardcore.

As Rats Blood make their transition to a LP they have homed in on their sound creating distorted raw hardcore noise on the high end with a beating disbeat that thrundles on the low end with gutteral vocals that growl out lyrics of discontent. That fans of Totalitar and Avskum will punch fists to come, November when 'Low Life' is released on Distro-y Records.

With one EP and a Cassette demo which lends a couple of tracks to 'LOW LIFE' which repays by bringing the tracks to their fuliment having recorded in the Hive Studios with James Eager and mastered by Jack Control at Enormous Door Mastering.

Crows from Dublin, Ireland brings you the most danceable record ever released on this label so far and probably for the future. As far as you couldn't already hear on their demo and/or split 7"with Drainland these guys only make hitsingles. Hardcore hitsingles. And now on a 12". Ten songs of anger, power, mosh, breakdowns, singalongs and it all sounds just great. I keep listening to this and making moves around the room and you'll be as well putting this on. Somewhere between early Undertow and that one good Trash Talk lp. Catchy and just awesome. Or as Kunal (Superfi) put it "i heard the singer moshed through a wall, so i knew i had to release it".

The Dublin based trio are set to off with their rabid inferno, repellent metallic chainsaw and hardline gravel vocals in an uncontrolled explosion, which will surely appease fiends that are into the death dealing power of the likes Repulsion, Hellshock and Skitsystem. ‘SCAVENGER’ EP is due out for an early summer release, available a limited 7″ vinyl format on Distro-y Records.

Having spawned in 2006, Putrefaction, have been an unrelenting force within Crust, their base sound of raw hardcore blended with a harsh crustal death metal sound. The enraged outcome creates a post-apocalyptic sound of chemical wasteland that can surely only be described as ‘Mad Max’ Crust Punk. Fueled by society’s post and modern-day ills, Putrefaction resonate through the scene in line with the sounds of Hellshock and Skitsystem. Despite a sparse record history, with 2007’s punishing ‘Destroyers’ demo followed by their 2012-released ‘Blood Cult’ 12”, the band has earned a punishing name through the sheer power the trio can amass through their thrundling blackened sound which will gain momentum through this upcoming EP and the much anticipated follow up LP to ‘Blood Cult’. Following the release of ‘SCAVENGER’ EP, Putrefaction will tour abroad through Europe in 2015 for the first time on tour, with a limited number pressing for this tour with all artwork designed and printed by Putrefaction’s guitar/vox Eric Twoheadeddog(Rats Blood/Easpa Measa). Putrefaction will enter the Hive Studio with James Eager of Bacchus/Divisions Ruin to record ‘SCAVENGER’.

As the rise of Irish crust and hardcore continues we bear news we shall help to release Subordinate on their ‘Respect existence or expect resistance’ 12″ out in a few months time.

Hailing from the depths of the Irish North West, Subordinate breath new life to Irish hardcore scene showing there is more coming out of this Island than what the crust stronghold of Dublin has to offer. ‘Respect existence or expect resistance’ will be Subordinates first full length having unleashed a 12″ EP ‘To See Their Demise’. Evolving their sound into a lengthy crushing discernible force that grasps to influences from Spanish crust bands like Ekkaia and Madame German over an inherent Irish crust sound creating hardcore contortion overriden by politicalized lyrics through contrasting battling vocals.

‘Respect existence or expect resistance’ is scheduled for a July release with amazing artwork from Costin Chioreanu. For fans of Easpa Measa, Ekkaia and Expendable Youth. Recorded atThe Hive with James Eager (Bacchus, Divisions Ruin) and to be mastered with Enormous Door mastering.

For those of you not on Facebook or follow Distro-y on the any form of social media I got in a couple of Sheer Mag II 7"s from the U S of A will be in Dublin Friday.

In 2014, Sheer Mag seemingly came out of nowhere with what was probably our favorite release of the year, debuting, straight to vinyl, their brand of hard rock-inspired power pop perfection. This time around, expectations are unreasonably high, but guess what? Sheer Mag don't care!
Out from under this table, these Philly miscreants return stronger than ever, this time toning down (ever so slightly) the power pop undertones that got them comparisons to the Shivvers (female vocals?) and putting the rock in the forefront. Still, the band could pass as the Jackson 5 re-imagined as a punk trash compactor and this record stands tall as what will definitely be the hard rock record of the year.
