Tunguska/The Bold And The Beautiful (Split LP)
€8
cover_tbatb_t_high.jpg

The Bold and the Beautiful started in autumn 2004 with a few members of punk bands from Lublin area (AntiChrist, Silence, G.C.M., Poem After Auschwitz, Unanimous Society's Paradox, AntiCop), cause guys were just pissed off on polish specific lifestyle, political madness, religious frauds and attitudes of scene gestapo/scene merchandise of some dumbs. They had an idea to connect fast and angry punkrock with old style sarcasm in the vein of early '80 hardcore and with political but not always deadly serious lyrics. In total - two guitars, two screamers, on

e bass and one drums. They call it Gitwa Punk and if you like Siekiera (a polish old punk "legend") you know what they mean - fast and furious crusty powerviolence, aggressive and in your face. On the other side of the split you find Tunguska - Irish/Polish hybride with heavy and dark monumental neocrust mayhem. Totally devastating and powerful wall of sound in the vein of Silence, FAR, The Dagda etc.

Les Enfants Terribles 'Blood Money' CDr-EP €5
467433417a4410486367b73707364l.jpg

Les Enfants Terribles are a 5 piece band from Limerick, Ireland. They call their own sound "like cars colliding" and to be honest they're not far off. Genre is a word thats bandied about quite a bit in music but for Les Enfants it doesn't really matter what genre they play or sound like. They just write songs and they like them.
"We play our music and we fucking love it , we hope you love it too. There are a million bands out there,we might just be one of them. Our mission statement is to create, it is the only real meaning in life, we are a new religion, governmental sytem and means of social interaction. Our goal is to become more than a band and to transcend the confines of this reality and substitute it for our own. Join us in our power, we speak as one, we breath in sync, we march and stamp on existing modes of operation. Everyone is free, and therefore you must join."

RACCOO-OO-OON - BEHOLD SECRET KINGDOM (Release The Bats Records) CD €8
rtb25skivan.jpg

Behold Secret Kingdom is the first proper fullength release from Iowa City's Raccoo-oo-oon after several limited cd-r/tape/vinyl releases (including cd reissues on Time Lag and Release The Bats). The band spent the last year working with Behold Secret Kingdom, tremendous amounts of love and hard work has been put into this recording which now will be unleashed by Release The Bats! 8 new songs that takes the band's psychedelic and dynamic free-form punk from previous releases to new heights, this is definitely their most focused and perfected recording so far. Darker, denser and almost brutal at times, Behold Secret Kingdom is also the heaviest recording they have done. It only takes a few seconds into ‘Black Branches’ and the mood is set for the rest of the album immediately. The stunning closer ‘Tail At Prospect Peak’ could easiest be described as campfire-doom with it’s slow riffing, heavy use of percussion and chanted vocals (everything suddenly bursting out in a chaotic crescendo…). The trademark tribal-like drums is still present, as is the vocal drones and the furious saxophone swirls. Behold Secret Kingdom is a epic masterpiece, there is really no other way to describe it. Chaotic and all over the place, yet so beautiful. Puts earlier comparisons to bands like Excepter and Animal Collective to a shame! Recorded by Mike Dixon in Bloomington, IN. Full colour digipack with the bands now well-known amazing artwork.

RACCOO-OO-OON - IS NIGHT PEOPLE (Release The Bats Records) €8
racconskivan.jpg

"Swirling sax-and-effects-heavy free-form punk from Iowa Citys Raccoo-oo-oon. Is Night People is their first magical recording, 7 organic rituals creating a majestic outlet of neverending energy. Beautiful cascades of manipulated vocals and layers of feedback melting together over sunny explosions of insane drumming. In the vein of Sun City Girls, Animal Collective, Excepter etc. The cd comes in a letterpressed black Arigato Pak with gold ink made by Stumptown Printers and stunning art by Shawn Reed in the band. Recorded and mixed by Steve Wilson, Brad Brandhorst and Raccoo-oo-oon. Originally released as a tape by the band in early 2005, now fully remastered by Pete Swanson (Yellow Swans)." (Release The Bats info)

Not Important - Tim The Lightning Cat CDr

7inch records (All 7"s are €3)
:

FFH - Tiocfaidh Ar La
got2661ep.jpg

This one may be a little bit controversial.. A very unique release for both FFH and Gods of Tundra. After discovering both of them shared an interest and obsession with the Irish Republican Army and the conflicts and Troubles in Northern Ireland, they decided working together on a project based on this would be worth while. This 7" is the result. It is the most superior FFH offensive to date. Superior in sound, in lyrics, and in ideas. Artistically, it looks very little or nothing like any other GOT release, but all these things just add to the unique quality of the record. 26 +6 = 1. Edition of 250.

SILENCE / BURNING THE PROSPECT split 7"
(Split label release - Right To Refuse (UK), (A)cclaim Collective (Japan), I've Come For Your Children (USA) & Sadness Of Noise (Dublin))

DOWN TO AGONY "Requiem Por Un Mundo Enfermo"
(split label release - (A)cclain Collective (Japan), Oxigeno (Spain), Behind The Scenes (Germany), Sadness Of Noise (Dublin) & Xuntos Pola Mestizake (Spain))
discogrndeep.jpg

" The new 4 song 7" from the Spanish powerful & crushing Neo-Crust hardcore-punk band who recorded after the first LP "No-Vida". This band is a sound that mixed His Hero Is Gone, Tragedy and Fear Is The Path To The Darkside but they've their own "darkness". And, the vocalist who does scream in tragic voice expresses misery and death of ourselves invented by this sick world. But in their words, there's a conviction to the reality of our own desires to the last. That is, this one is a just "Requiem por un mundo enfermo (Requiem for a sick world)" as told by the record's title. We (A)cclaim Collective didn't know this band at all until there's contact from them. But we felt that our and their standpoint and purpose were the same, so we decided to participate in this co-release. because they have said like thisー"we still live, we still burn, we still love". Great artwork. "
