This was deadly. He was initially grumpy - mainly about said door - but then seemed to really get into it. Had a 18 year old from the audience doing percussion for a good 3rd of the gig. Paid him €500! Sound was brilliant and the arrangements and instrumentation were excellent. Second best time I've seen him.

Yeah I thought this was great. The sound was class. The set up was intimate but not overly sparse and his voice sounded great. Hardly felt the hours go by. Thankfully someone lashed up the setlist as I hadn't a clue of some of the covers. Must check out that album he did with Jimmy LaValle the songs off that were really good. Was Jimmy one of the two guys anyone know?

Yeah, I'd not heard that album and the songs from it were brilliant. Defo picking it up. Jimmy LaValle is the dude from The Album Leaf. He wasn't one of the lads onstage. Piano player is in Desertshore though.
