David Simon's 'Treme' (1 Viewer)

Another good article about the making of Treme here in the New York Times:
http://www.nytimes.com/2010/03/21/magazine/21simon-t.html

Really looking forward to it.. You'd have to hope that David Simon et al won't have the network bosses breathing down their necks regarding low ratings etc with the huge amount of acclaim (and presumably DVD sales) that The Wire has picked up since it finished.

Just finished watching it there, seems pretty good i might even go as far as saying it was TREMEndous

Any chance of this been shown on tv over here in the near future? F/X sometimes pick up on the HBO series early enough, but don't see anything on their site.

I guess I'll have to download them or wait, so.

so/so. didn't dislike it but hated the british reporter, john goodman and 'davis', ie - the worst character on tv ever.
so cartoony. unless a hurricane comes and kills him, i'm not sure how that character can be in anyway watchable.
the rest was pretty good. will keep watching.

i thought some of it was great and some of it was slightly hokey. i never thought they'd stoop to a shameful celebrity cameo like that. i'm sure i'll be singing it's praises by the end of the first season

yeah...that actually could have been a lot worse, for having it just so you can include the line
"you just want to stay in new orleans drinkin beer, bbq-ing and playing music the rest of your
life??" - bleurgh

someone hit me with some sad trombone

just after watching the 2nd episode, still pretty good my only problem is, there should be less of this

yeah it was good...nothing to hook you in too much - the music is starting to drag a bit now
the one thing that bugged me was the most david simon on autopilot line ever:

"<dramatic pause>......this City."

gimme a break!
