The damningly endearing barmaid said she wanted a country music playlist. The aul lads, and me (I'm not an aul lad, fuck off) recommended some Dolly etc. I suggested Wichita Lineman, which got played more than once. Somehow, she had never heard it before. Kids these days. Apparently I can do a good country music twang voice.
And so, despite the protestations of the other sensible barfly, I said friends in low places, by your friend and mine Chris Gaines. It is literally the most apt song to play, we're at sea level.
But then I found this:

What’s the attraction to this, culturally speaking? I’m just at a loss.
I saw them in Whelans and they were superb. They had it seated that night. Bought a couple of their records.
I fuckin love this tune. I never watched the video before - i love the drummers energy in this, his body loves the music
