Clean install on my Mac (1 Viewer)

My Macbook pro is running like a donkey. I want to do a fresh install, but I don't have any installer disks. I'm thinking about getting the latest OS from the app store, but can I durn it to a disk and o a clean install from it?

yeah you can. but make sure you make a copy of the dmg file before running it. osx deletes the dmg after installation. don't forget to back that shit up!

Yeah, i'd like to know this too. I have an 07 intel macbook pro that's still running Tiger, starting to get a bit dated. I seem to remember re-installing a MacOS for a friend before and just borrowing someone else's Snow Leopard disc. Can this be done without any product key/registration?

Yes it can - OSX has never had any product key requirements AFAIK, only an 'honour system' licence (you can install on up to five computers you own, I think).
