I was in a band a long time ago. The singer wrote 95% of the songs. Since the age of 21 he's shown zero interest in ever playing any of them again. I'm no songwriter and I like his songs and I wanna play 'em. I think they're gems waiting to be polished. He recorded a demo cd YEARS ago. I've tried to make the songs more listenable.
I have arrangements/ideas in my head but open to taking any song and playing it in a cod-reggae style if it sounds good. Really though I'm hearing things influenced by Wilco, the Soft Bulletin, Deserters Songs, Grandaddy, keeping the poppy melodies and weirding up the music a bit.
I have a guy who can play bass/guitar or drums. I play guitar. So we need vocals and whatever else.
If you're interested in playing these songs, PM me. I have no ambitions of making it big. I'd just like to be in a good band who gig here and there and have some fun. And who knows after that.
I've uploaded a heap of them. There's newer, maybe better ones to come also.
