BREXIT (2 Viewers)

Fantastic day for democracy. Votes counted and a winner announced.

Now lets get back to the next three years of Brexit going nowhere.

I wonder how fast can NI and Scotland get the fuck out out of Dodge?

Imagine if Scotland and NI got out, and all of the sound cunts from England all fucked off to Scotland or NI and just set up shop there.

I still vaguely hope that I am wrong, the Tories magically unfuck England, don't leave a shattered NHS/economy/society, along with acres of bodies strewn about the place, but on the plus side we would get to watch.

The Queen could pull a nice one. Boris arrives in, doin the formalities, and she turns around and says "nah mate. Yerra cunt".

And then Boris says: "you can't say that, you're a figurehead, you're ruining your legacy, the institution1!??"

And then The Queen says "It's fucked anyway. The offspring are kiddie fiddlers or tossers. Still better than you mind. Anyway the only nice gaffs I have are in Scotland. G'wan. I'll see yis. Pricks."
Plz, this the Queen is woke business needs to stop. She is the worst out of all of them. Her husband is basically an 18th century slave trader who improbably has never died.

It's possible they could build on the base that Corbyn built and push forward but yeah, I'm not especially optimistic about it. Maybe we'll just return to the apolitical world of 90s Gen X and South Park informed politics but with ever more murderous weather.

If we get the North back (obviously impossible with a whole pile off further bloodshed) and Scotland leave that'll be something. I'd prefer solidarity but watching the UK breakup will be sweet.

My prediction:

Labour splits, Momentum form a new left wing party which gets absolutely shit on by everyone, Labour elect someone bland and centre-y like Keir Starmer, they get hammered in the next election because as nice and charming Starmer is, he's a London remainer.

*insert stills from last 20 minutes of Threads here*

And as easy as it is to be all "WTF are the Brits doing?", you just know that something this batshit is coming down the line for us. Every time I see "patriots" and other fash fucks on Twitter talking about "Ireland for the Irish" I get a sinking feeling. They're our UKIP and we all so how that played out.

But you don't understand, South Park told me I was very clever to think all politics is for losers and i'm comfortable enough in my job that I don't actually have to care about the poor and can just make snide comments shitting on anyone who dares to try.

Depressing as fuck really, the first viable Socialist in my lifetime, who spent his entire life fighting racism, and he got dogged by antisemitism and "weak" claims while the guy who failed his way to the top writing racist columns for 25 odd years and who wrote an actual anti-semitic novel sails through promising ethnic cleansing of travellers and, well, fascism:

After Brexit we also need to look at the broader aspects of our constitution: the relationship between the Government, Parliament and the courts; the functioning of the Royal Prerogative; the role of the House of Lords; and access to justice for ordinary people.

cool guys, Get Brexit Done.

Well anyway, i'm done with being sad, time to move on I guess. Neoliberalism is still dead or dying. Capitalism is still going to collapse as the weather catches up with it.

Gary Younge's take is decent imho
