I've used something similar to a Murphy ladder. It's fecking horrendous. Once you get a bit of paint or dust or dirt into the mechanisms', it's wrecked.

When I was working as painter my boss reffered to the folding ladder as the A&E ladder.

They have improved since then but I'd still recommend spending whatever seems like a compeltely unreasonable amount of money on them. I have the second most expensive one that was available, its 'ok' for me but i never loan it.

I'm trying to think of any way that could possibly work, within a soup context.....
