after mandy smith married rod stewart, his son and her mother got engaged - but they split up before they married.
if they *had* married, rod stewart's son would have become his father in law, and his mother in law would have become his daughter in law.

is this even a thing? good to see the guardian tackling the big issues.

Once opened, butter stays out in the cupboard, in a covered butter dish.

Butter exists so people had something that keeps for longer without refrigeration. Butter, along with bacon, corned beef, pickles and high strength beer are what enabled long sea journeys. People who insist on putting butter in the fridge will be the first to die when the apocalypse comes.

I wouldn't say pantry though.

Also, is The Butter Museum in Cork still going? Would recommend.

I find the judgements on the word pantry to be damning. Trendy words floating around food and social upping on that basis are the seeds of a society in downfall. A pantry is a more accurate word for a dry food store than a cupboard, which is a board to keep cups on rather than a house of bread. The neglect of meaning of both words suggests the person is probably going to be wrong overall.

Anywhoo butter is pantry stuff when it's needed. If you live in a warmer climate consider olive oils or similar.
