charlie byrnes maybe? thats a deadly shop. when i used live in galway i used to go there every dole day and pick up a few books. best thing about that wretched city.

portobello books on rathmines road is not too bad either, small but some good stuff. i picked up a rake of brian aldiss there recently for cheap. was there a couple of weeks ago and everything was very cheap making me think its gonna close down but i dunno.
charlie byrne's, that's the one. got some books i'd had my eye on in dublin for ages for way cheaper there. v. happy.

portobello books is also pretty cool, i've only been in there the once but yr man only charged me 2 quid for the book i was buying, with which i was only delighted.

If ye are travelling around

There's a deadly second-hand book shop in Athlone. I don't know the name of it but it's right beside the castle. I never leave there without finding something good!

There's a nice second-hand book shop in Limerick too called O' Briens on High Street. It's pretty good.

But my favourite of all is O' Mahonys in Limerick    So expensive though...
