An eclectic mix-- there are even girls in the list

Forty years on from their heyday, Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton continue to top 'Best Guitarists' votes. But what about Jonny Greenwood or Slash? Surely John Squire and Johnny Marr are every bit as influential as the greats from the 60s and 70s? Contemporary fret wizards are often over-looked, so we've come up with The Axe Factor - an endeavour to find the best guitarists of the last 30 years.

is that some sort of joke list?

having the 'three-chord-trick' chancer Noel Gallagher on there is laughable.
not to mention that Simon TOng was the rhythm guitarist in The Verve and there's no sign of Nick McCabe.

seems like some guitarsists just thrown in to coz their band is somewhat alternatively popular. Kevin Shields was a pretty decent noisemaker but it hardly constitutes as a best guitarist ever.
from that list id throw my vote between Steve Malkmus, Prince, Graham Coxon & THurston More.

Tom Morello LOL.

infact, alot of that list is LOLable

"Any guitar player worth his salt would scorn such a daft list and have nowt to do with it,"

Richard Hawley (Number 32 on the list)
